Travel Radiology Tech Mammography Tech Job
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures as ordered, operating specialized breast imaging equipment
- Position patients, explain procedures, and ensure privacy and comfort throughout the exam
- Prepare for and assist the Radiologist with intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
- Produce high-quality radiographic images and documentation to support clinical interpretation
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and patient privacy guidelines; maintain equipment and room readiness
- Collect pertinent patient information and relay preparation and aftercare instructions to care areas as directed
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology required
- Licenses/Certifications: Radiologic Tech (RT) and Mammography Technologist: Required in CA; ARRT-R required; ARRT-M required in OR, with CA and HI preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Fluoroscopy license preferred in CA; Venipuncture certification preferred in CA; Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT) required
- Experience: Mammography Technologist experience preferred
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital-based radiology department and meet state licensing and certification requirements for California
About the Role
This travel assignment begins 07/27/2026 and runs for 13 weeks in a short-term acute care setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,306 to $2,423 per week, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days.
