Travel Radiology RN - $2,464 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Radiology for a 13‑week assignment in Hackensack, New Jersey. The position requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour evening shifts. Candidates should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and be prepared to work in a diagnostic imaging environment, collaborating with technologists and radiologists to provide patient care.

Responsibilities

• Start or check peripheral IVs
• Access and assess infusaports
• Administer medications
• Monitor vital signs
• Suction patients
• Insert foleys
• Help patients with their personal needs
• Inform the technologist or radiologist of any unusual patient needs
• Perform specialized nursing duties, such as administering IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures
• Closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters
• Stand and walk for long periods of time; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds
• Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks; 40 hours per week; 8‑hour evening shifts.
