About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment
- Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session
- Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy
- Maintain equipment and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Use imaging technology to guide accurate treatment delivery
- Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records
- Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members
- Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment
- Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff
Requirements
- BLS certification
- ARRT (T) National Certification
- At least one year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
- State licensure may be required
- Ability to stand for long periods, work precisely with complex equipment, and offer compassionate care in emotionally sensitive situations
