About the role
American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist with 2+ years of independent experience and current Hawaii state licensure to work varied shifts in a diagnostic imaging department in Hilo, Hawaii. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting September 14, 2026, with 40 hours per week and an 8-hour flexible shift schedule.
Candidates must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment and should plan to arrive on the island the Friday before a Monday start to attend the appointment. No requested time off (RTO) will be granted during the first 13 weeks of the contract.
Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic equipment independently, including DR fixed equipment, DR fluoro equipment, C-arms, and portable DR equipment.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and wear a dosimetry badge.
- Work a varied shift schedule with an average of 3 days of call per month.
- Use Epic EMR for documentation (preferred).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of independent experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Current ARRT certification and BLS certification.
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by the start of the assignment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency operating radiographic equipment without supervision.
- Experience with Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, Philips Fluoro, and Konica DR preferred.

Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
