Travel Radiation Therapist Radiation Oncology Job
Overview
This travel assignment is a temporary, hospital-based position for a Radiation Therapist working in the Radiation Oncology specialty. The contract runs for about six to eight weeks, with a weekly pay rate in the stated range. The shift is eight hours per day, five days a week.

Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy to patients, following treatment plans developed by the oncology team
- Operate Varian Trubeam Linac equipment, ensuring proper setup, delivery, and safety protocols
- Position patients and apply immobilization devices as needed to achieve accurate treatment fields
- Verify treatment fields, energies, and parameters; perform routine quality assurance checks on equipment
- Document all treatment sessions in the ARIA charting system and coordinate with the care team on patient status and side effects
- Monitor patient tolerance, report adverse events, and participate in ongoing care coordination with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists
Requirements
- BLS certification
- Varian Trubeam Linac experience preferred
- Experience with ARIA charting system
- Ability to work Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts
- Comfortable working in a hospital-based setting
