Looking for ASAP start! M-F scheduled days may vary; 10 hour shifts 0700-1700 with a half hour lunch; previous travel experience is preferred but not required; must have 2 years of experience. Equipment is Varian TrueBeams.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation regulations.
- Achieve performance targets and contribute to team success.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on radiation equipment.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies in radiation therapy.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff members.

- Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist from an accredited institution.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and radiation regulations compliance.
- Proven experience in administering radiation therapy treatments to diverse patient populations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in training programs.

- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment processes to patients.
