Schedule
Shift: 8 hours, days (08:00–16:30). 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver radiation therapy to patients as prescribed and under National Cancer Institute regulations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment with safety standards
- Coordinate patient appointments
- Interpret prescriptions and deliver radiation in accordance with physician instructions
- Prepare and operate all types of radiotherapy equipment (Co-60, Linear Accelerator, Simulator, etc.)
- Take radiographic film to confirm treatment volume
- Perform pretreatment duties: operate Simulator for tumor localization, take contours, collect physical factors for treatment plans, take photographs for portal verification
- Provide all safety measures for patients, recognize radiation reactions, and provide proper care and instructions
- Ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory policies and procedures
- Record and maintain treatment records and port films
- Participate in departmental in-service and educational programs
- Coordinate departmental and in-patient activities to provide proper patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an AAS or AMA certified program
- RRT license with three to five years related experience
- New York State (NYS) license
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Pay
Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation); tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
