TotalMed Allied is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians across the U.S. Throughout 2020, the organization filled roles at even the most short‑staffed facilities during the most challenging time in healthcare. They are seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The position requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X‑rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records
• Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience as a Radiation Therapist (some listings note two years)
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (T) National Certification
• Wisconsin state licensure (may be required)
• Ability to stand for long periods, work precisely with complex equipment, and provide compassionate care in emotionally sensitive situations
