About the role
A Radiation Therapist administers radiation treatments to cancer patients under the supervision of oncologists. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating radiation equipment, and monitoring treatment progress.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiation therapy sessions
- Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately
- Maintain records of patient treatment sessions
- Monitor and adjust treatment parameters as necessary
- Communicate with medical staff to ensure patient care is coordinated
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist in the state of Michigan
- Experience in radiation therapy administration
- Knowledge of radiation physics and dosimetry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
- Current certification in radiation therapy
- Passing score on the national certification exam

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
