About the role

A Radiation Therapist administers radiation treatments to cancer patients under the supervision of oncologists. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating radiation equipment, and monitoring treatment progress.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiation therapy sessions
• Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately
• Maintain records of patient treatment sessions
• Monitor and adjust treatment parameters as necessary
• Communicate with medical staff to ensure patient care is coordinated

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist in the state of Michigan
• Experience in radiation therapy administration
• Knowledge of radiation physics and dosimetry
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
• Current certification in radiation therapy
• Passing score on the national certification exam

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
