TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Asheville, North Carolina. The position requires 1 year of experience, BLS certification, ARRT (R) national certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients
• Provide reassurance and support to patients
• Follow orders from physicians regarding imaging procedures
• Correctly position patients and adjust imaging equipment
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to patients and self
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for physician review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Use McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• 1 year of experience

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Benefits

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Asheville, NC. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements. As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing. Tasks As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions Calibrate imaging equipment Prepare results for Physician to review Maintain accurate patient records Understand and use the McKesson PACS system Requirements Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
