Travel Rad Tech - $2,165 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Winchester, Virginia, starting 11/02/2026. The position requires 40 hours per week worked in 10‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Follow physicians’ orders regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position.
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to self and patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for physician review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (some references note 2 years may be required).
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (R) National Certification.
• State‑specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
