Travel PT Outpatient - $2,526 per week

About the Role

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (Outpatient) for a 26-week contract in Lexington, Virginia. The position is primarily in an outpatient clinic setting with some acute care coverage within the same facility, including monthly weekend shifts in the acute setting.

• Primarily outpatient clinic setting, with some acute care coverage
• Monthly weekend coverage in the acute care setting
• Schedule options:
  • 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • 4x10-hour shifts (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with one random day off) available by request
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• May be required to work one holiday per 13-week contract, on rotation with staff

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services in an outpatient setting
• Cover acute care shifts as needed, including monthly weekend coverage

Requirements

• DPT or Master's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current Virginia Physical Therapy license required (can be applied for upon offer)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinic and acute care experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position. Local candidates are not accepted; a radius rule applies to determine eligibility. All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application.

Schedule

• Duration: 26 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 10 hours, days (4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with one random day off)
• Start Date: August 17, 2026
