Travel PT Outpatient - $2,191 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Physical Therapist for an immediate opening in San Diego, California. The assignment lasts 24 weeks with 36 hours per week (12‑hour day shifts). As a Physical Therapist you will evaluate, develop, and execute plans of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting, working alongside medical center staff and physicians to deliver team‑focused care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill services according to facility guidelines
• Understand and comply with the state PT board’s rules and regulations
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team‑focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify the plan of care based on patient condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates; new graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state‑specific Physical Therapist license
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
