Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $3,105 per week

About the role

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care to cardiac and intermediate care patients within a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment. The position requires a strong background in cardiac interim care and the ability to manage diverse clinical situations independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to cardiac and intermediate care patients
• Manage diverse clinical situations independently in a high patient turnover environment
• Care for patients including post-operative CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablations, acute chest pain/myocardial infarction, and med/surg overflow cases
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4

Requirements

• WI RN License
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Ability to pass EKG test within the first week of hire
• At least 1 year of recent cardiac experience (Cardiac Step Down Unit, Intermediate Cardiac, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit)
• 2 years of IMC/Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry experience
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• Shift: Days, 12 hours
• Hours per week: 48
• Duration: 13 weeks
