Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,255 per week

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse position in Yakima, Washington. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with diverse medical, cardiac, and oncology diagnoses.

• Location: Yakima, Washington
• Schedule: Nights shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 09/07/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Float rotation may be required within scope and throughout hospital

The facility is a non-profit community hospital with 226 beds, including 34 beds on a second emergency ward, serving diverse patient populations with a focus on compassionate care and charity cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients with medical, cardiac, and oncology diagnoses
• Manage complex patient needs, including post-cath lab procedures and cardiac monitoring
• Handle high-acuity care, trach care, chest tubes, TR band, post-cath lab care, and central line maintenance
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage titratable drips (e.g., diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, Lasix)

Requirements

• Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 1+ years of clinical experience in a progressive care or similar environment
• Nursing license in licensed state
• Experience with trach care, chest tubes, TR band, post-cath lab care, central line maintenance, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Comfortable managing titratable drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, and Lasix

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for general medical, cardiac, and oncology patients
• Experience with a high Spanish-speaking population

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
