Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,215 per week

Job Summary

The Progressive Care Unit registered nurse in Kansas City, Kansas will deliver high-quality patient care by following established care plans, supervising support staff, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to first shift
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only)
• Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience
• Previous experience in a Select Medical facility is highly desired

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting

Additional Information

• Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develops and updates individualized care plans
• Participates in patient and family education
• Accurately documents assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record
• Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission
• Facilitates communication among care team members
• Delegates responsibilities appropriately
• Ensures personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies
• May assume charge responsibility following orientation
• Actively pursues professional development
