About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) with prior CV critical care experience. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to cardiovascular and vascular surgical patients, ensuring optimal recovery and management of complex medical conditions in Asheville, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patients
• Manage and monitor various cardiac medications and drips
• Oversee patient recovery and respond to changes in patient condition
• Perform and manage epidural care and chest tube management
• Conduct telemetry monitoring and intervene when necessary

Requirements

• Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Telemetry experience (required)
• CVICU experience (preferred)

Schedule

• 13-week contract position
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)

Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency. Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, including a tax-free stipend (amount to be determined).
