Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $1,890 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 13-week assignment in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care on the PCU, with flexibility to float across various inpatient units, offering an excellent opportunity to develop skills across diverse medical conditions.

About the Role

The facility has a total of 345 beds and holds a 3-time Magnet designation. The unit cares for a large cardiac patient population across Telemetry and Progressive Care units, with some staff floating to inpatient medical, telemetry, and rehabilitation units. The environment emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and compassion.

• Staff include predominantly RN and CNA team members working day and night shifts.
• Patient ratios are typically around 1:5.
• Float rotation may be required.

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12 hours per shift.
• Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Duration: 13 weeks, starting 08/24/2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care on the Progressive Care Unit.
• Float across various inpatient units as needed.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license.
• Minimum 1-year current acute care Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Meditech electronic medical record system experience.
• Chemo certification for oncology unit scheduling.
