The successful candidate will work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit with both telemetry and step-down ICU capabilities. Shift Information Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. There is no guarantee of hours and no call responsibilities. Unit Details 15-bed unit: 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds. Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 for Progressive Care; 1:3 for Step-down ICU. General Job Duties Provide primary nursing care and perform telemetry monitoring. Interpret telemetry strips and conduct fingerstick blood sugar tests. Utilize Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication administration. Operate BIPAP and conduct continuous cardiac monitoring. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital acute care setting within the last year. Experience in Progressive Care and telemetry preferred. Licensure and Certifications ACLS certification is preferred. Current PALS certification is preferred. NIHSS certification is preferred. Floating Requirements The RN may be required to float to other acute units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed.
