Responsibilities
- Provide progressive care nursing to patients not requiring mechanical ventilation, including diagnoses such as CHF, dysrhythmia, chest pain workup, stroke, abdominal illnesses and infections, respiratory illness, diabetes, AKI/CKD, ETOH withdrawal, and IVDA.
- Float within the designated region (Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division including CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH) as needed within scope of practice.
- If floating mid-shift, remain on the clock and be paid for time traveling between facilities.
- Work every other weekend rotation.
- Work 75% of holidays.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience.
- Active RN license (Compact accepted).
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (copies needed).
- Must be willing to float within the designated region of hospitals.
- Permanent address must be over 50 miles from the facility.
- 1 reference within the last 12 months.
- Skills checklist within the last 12 months.

- Facility: AH Cleveland Main - Nursing - 4E Progressive Care, 201 E Grover St, Shelby, North Carolina 28150
- Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: RN 1:4 (most common), possibly 1:5 depending on acuity; CNA Days 1:12, Nights 1:16
- Support: CNA for ADLs, receptionist/HUC (dayshift only), charge nurse resource, phlebotomy (other than nurse draws), IV/VAT team, RT, 24/7 Hospitalist, 24/7 Intensivist, 24/7 telemetry monitoring (bedside and nurses station)
- Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC, IV Pump: Alaris, Med dispensing: Omnicell, Monitors: Phillips
