Travel Preop/PACU RN - $2,461 per week

About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Ithaca, New York. This role involves working with a variety of specialties, including Neuro, Plastics, ENT, Breast, General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Vascular, and Endoscopy at a community hospital with 7 operating rooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
• Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress
• Administer medications and manage IV fluids as necessary
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams and support staff
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout their surgical experience

Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Critical care or PACU experience preferred
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required

Schedule

• Duration: 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts
• On-call requirement: approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call within an 8-week period
• Weeknight call hours: 9 PM to 7 AM
• Weekend call: 7 AM to 7 AM
