Travel Preop/PACU RN - $2,461 per week
About the role
We are seeking a qualified Preoperative / PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is critical in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgery and those in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and conditions before and after surgery.
- Administer medications and ensure patient safety throughout the preoperative and postoperative phases.
- Absorb and explain processes to patients prior to surgery.
- Assist in preparing patients for surgical procedures, ensuring comfort and explained processes.
- Provide postoperative care in the PACU, including patient assessment and discharge planning.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
- Experience in a preoperative or PACU setting is preferred.
- Must be able to fulfill on-call requirements, which include approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call in an 8-week period.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
