About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves caring for patients recovering from anesthesia in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting.
Shift: 12 hours, days | Hours: 36 hours per week | Start Date: 09/07/2026 | Employment Type: Travel
Responsibilities
- Assist in recovering patients from anesthesia and monitor them while they wake up from surgery until they are released (discharge to outpatient or transfer to the floor).
- Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from general, regional, and local anesthesia, treating both inpatients and outpatients according to their needs.
- Administer diligent care through monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Requirements
- Active RN License.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS and ACLS Certifications.
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PACU setting.
- Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
