About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Postpartum for a 13-week assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a travel position with one of our top healthcare clients, offering 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period.
- Care for both mothers and their newborns after delivery.
- Monitor mothers and help ensure proper recovery in the hours following delivery.
- Recognize postpartum depression and teach new moms how to address emotions.
- Teach new parents how to care for, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor infant health.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS, ACLS & NRP Certification
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Mother/Baby setting
