Travel Nurse RN Post Partum position in Overland Park, Kansas. Specialty: Post Partum. Discipline: RN. Start date: October 12, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Hours: 36 hours per week. Shift: 12‑hour shifts, flexible. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period.
• Provide dual care for infants and mothers, including teaching mothers about infant care.
• Care for both moms and newborns after delivery.
• Monitor mothers in the hours following delivery to ensure proper recovery.
• Recognize postpartum depression and teach mothers how to address emotions.
• Teach parents how to care, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle‑feed the newborn and monitor the infant’s health.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care Mother/Baby setting.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
