About the role

The Polysomnographer position is based in a busy sleep disorders unit. The role involves performing sleep study procedures, educating patients on prescribed therapies, and troubleshooting technical equipment while working with all age groups and adhering to American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform sleep study procedures and patient monitoring
• Educate patients on prescribed therapies
• Troubleshoot and maintain technical equipment
• Document patient data and study results in accordance with facility guidelines
• Participate in scoring or tabulation of sleep studies as needed
• May oversee students and staff providing patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Technology, or other medical specialty (preferred)
• Minimum two years of related work experience in a Sleep Disorders setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of sleep disorders and electrical safety
• Proficiency with computers for patient documentation and data gathering
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• RPSGT certification required

Schedule

Rotating 12‑hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, typically starting at 1800. Core shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; may include weekday shifts and overtime availability.

Pay
