About the Role
Registered Nurse – Pediatric Intensive Care - PICU - Travel position in Charlotte, North Carolina. 36 hours per week, 12 hour night shifts. Duration: 26 weeks. Start date: 10/5/2026.
Unit Details
- Beds: 24; average patient census: 21-23

- Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Respiratory, Trauma (penetrating and non-accidental trauma/NAT), DKA, Seizures, Neurosurgical, Acute/Chronic Renal Failure, Orthopedic, Surgical, Transplants (Kidney and whole/partial Liver), complex Medical, Blood Disorders
Requirements
- 2 years of strong high acuity Pediatric ICU experience – must be comfortable in a high acuity, fast paced environment
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Licenses: RN (Compact Accepted) – copy needed
- Certifications: PALS (copy needed); BLS (copy needed)
- SSN and DOB required
- 1 Reference in the last 12 months
- Skills checklist must be dated within 12 months
- Previous travel reference must be dated within 12 months (job can be up to 5 years old)
Schedule & Floating
- Weekend Rotation: Required to work 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays and 2 Mondays every 6-week schedule. The combination can be grouped together or worked separately as long as those eight (8) shifts occur within the 6-week period.
- Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays; unit requirement is the eve and day of every other holiday while contracted.
- Floating Requirements: Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, Gen Peds – will float as needed.

Pay
Pay Rate: $2619.00 – $2753.00. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
