Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a teaching hospital environment. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support critically ill pediatric patients.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- At least 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in a PICU or similar setting
Preferred Qualifications
- CRRT experience
- APHON Pediatric Teaching Hospital experience
Unit Information
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) / Level II Trauma, 15 beds, staff of 38, general equipment including CR monitoring, Electronic Medical Records in Meditech / CPN
Typical Procedures
- IV starts and blood draws
- TPT placements
