Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Role Overview

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will support patient recovery in a skilled nursing facility by assisting with mobility, pain reduction, and independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement care plans and document patient progress in electronic medical records.
• Absorb and assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and restorative nursing programs.
• Contribute to falls prevention protocols and patient rehabilitation efforts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Kansas or state PTA license required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross may be needed.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of care plans, patient documentation, and mobility techniques preferred.
