About the role
Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to support patient recovery and mobility improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing treatment plans through therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities of daily living.
- Set up therapy equipment, guide patients through exercises, and observe their performance.
- Document patient progress, educate on home programs, and collaborate with healthcare team members.
- Maintain a safe environment, adhere to infection control protocols, and support discharge planning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid PTA license and current BLS certification.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients, with proficiency in PC use.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision, handle irregular schedules, and maintain attention to detail.
