About the role
The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans for patients, focusing on adult and geriatric populations within an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Follow the Physical Therapist's Plan of Care (POC).
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, rehabilitation exercises, and mobility tasks.
- Educate patients and their families regarding home exercise programs and safety practices.
- Document patient progress and report to supervising therapists.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Active West Virginia license or pending state license accepted for submission.
- Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers considered with strong specialty experience.
Schedule
Day shift: 5x8 hours from 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
