About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. The PTA will assist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. The position involves providing patient care in in-patient, outpatient, and home health settings.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the treatment of patients with various medical conditions.
  • Implement and modify physical therapy interventions as directed by the physical therapist.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adapt to diverse job situations involving teamwork and project management.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current credentialing by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board.
  • Verification of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience, primarily in outpatient settings preferred.
  • Bi-lingual capabilities are helpful.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical.
  • Pass a drug screen.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment.

Pay & Schedule

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
