Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapeutic environment.
• Educate patients and their families about physical therapy processes and exercises.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license to practice in Texas.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an outpatient or acute care setting.

Work Environment

This position involves working with a variety of patient populations, including inpatients and outpatients, in a critical access hospital setting. The role may require flexibility in scheduling to meet departmental needs, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Information

Dress code includes scrubs, with no specific color requirement.

Pay

Pay package is based on 9‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shift: 9 hours per day, days; 40 hours per week; 13‑week assignment.
