Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,818 per week

About the role

Synergy Medical Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment starting July 20, 2026, in Waldorf, Maryland. The shift is 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in patient care activities
• Perform routine tasks such as measuring, recording, and reporting patient progress
• Prepare treatment areas and assist patients with mobility and transfers
• Provide support during therapy sessions

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Maryland
• At least one year of recent work experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a recognized Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Pass a background check and drug screening

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay

The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
