About the role
Vibra Travels is seeking a dependable, detail-focused travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. We're looking for candidates with experience supporting physical therapy services in a hospital or Inpatient Rehabilitation setting to help patients improve mobility and functional outcomes while traveling the country.
Qualifications
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of employment required
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a hospital, rehab, skilled nursing, or outpatient setting required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
- Current, valid, and active driver's license required
- Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required; AHA preferred and required by some clients
Skills
- Experience implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Ability to assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and mobility activities
- Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams
- Free from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace
Schedule
8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week. Duration: 13 weeks. Start date: ASAP.
