About the role
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will provide essential support in the inpatient rehabilitation program, assisting patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The role involves working closely with a dedicated team in a specialized therapeutic environment to promote patient recovery and enhance daily living skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises and rehabilitation routines in a supportive setting.
- Utilize specialized therapy equipment and devices to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising therapist.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current PTA certification and appropriate state licensure required.
- Preferred experience in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
Schedule
- Shift: Days (07:00 - 16:30), 8 hours per shift
