About the role
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Physical Therapy Assistant for a position in Gallup, New Mexico. The role is a travel assignment with an ASAP start date, 13‑week duration, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts. The position is in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, on‑site, and falls under the Physical Therapy Assistant specialty within the Therapy discipline.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited PTA program
- Completion of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- NM PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended

Pay
$1,687.1 – $1,739.28 per week (based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined)
Schedule
Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, 5 days per week (up to 40 hours). Start date: ASAP. Assignment length: 13 weeks.
