About the role
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, starting immediately for a duration of 13 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in providing patient care
- Perform tasks such as positioning patients, administering treatments, and documenting patient progress
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year recent work experience in the specialty of the job applying for
- A current BLS/CPR certification through American Heart Association
- Active License in the state of the job location (if applicable)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) or equivalent
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
