Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,640 per week

About the role

A great outpatient facility in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment starting August 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of either Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists.
• Uses physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.
• Treatment techniques may include massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and assigned exercises.

Requirements

• Earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or actively pursuing licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
• Effectively collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients' goals.

Qualifications

• Experience or newly graduated PTA.
• Current state license as a PTA or actively pursuing licensure.
• CPR certification.

Pay

The pay package is based on 8.0 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
