Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,602 per week

About the Role

Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Monterey, California. This position involves working 40 hours per week on 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
• Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited PTA program
• Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
• CA PTA licensure/certification
• First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended

Pay

$1,577.15 - $1,625.93 per week, based on 8-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
