About the role
AHS Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Los Angeles, California.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistance under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Assist in patient care activities such as positioning, transferring, and mobility exercises.
- Help patients with range of motion exercises, strength training, and other therapeutic activities.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Skills
- Proficient in using medical terminology and understanding of physical therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
