This position involves assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans, providing patient care, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role focuses on outpatient therapy, with an emphasis on patient safety, safety in therapeutic interventions, and effective communication with patients and healthcare team members. Job Details Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited school, CAPTE certification, 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience, CPR certification, valid license for Maryland, complete start date by 08/17/2026, no prior experience with the agency required, no prior agency assignment required Preferred Qualifications: Successful completion of previous assignments with the agency or the organization is highly desired Additional Information: Promotes patient and employee safety focused on 10 Foot Circle of Safety and demonstrates safety awareness in all key areas such as safe patient handling, materials handling, infectious diseases, slips/trips and falls, and work environment. Follows all facility guidelines regarding personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality. Implements treatment goals, assists the Physical Therapist, trains patients in locomotion, demonstrates modalities, monitors patient response, documents progress, educates patients and families, and maintains professional relationships. Participates in team conferences, special projects, and shares recent literature and case studies. Complies with clinic policies, safety, infection control, and other guidelines. Maintains a clean treatment area and performs other duties as assigned.
