About the role
A great outpatient clinic is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA to join their growing team for a contract assignment.
Responsibilities
- Works under the supervision of either Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists.
- Uses physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.
- Treatment techniques may include massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, and ultrasound, as well as assigned exercises.
Requirements
- Earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or actively applying for licensure.
- CPR certification.
- Provides skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
- Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
- Effectively collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients' goals.
Qualifications
Must have earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA.
CPR certification.
Skills

Pay
Pay package is based on 8.0 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
40 hours per week.
Shift: 8 hours, days.
