About the role
Physical therapy assistant needed in Jacksonville, Alabama for a 13-week contract starting on August 3, 2026. The position offers 40 hours per week (5x8) in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in providing patient care
- Perform therapeutic exercises under supervision
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements
- Active Alabama PTA license
- BLS certification
- Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
