Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,364 per week

About the role

Travel position in Chase City, Virginia. Start date: 09/08/2026, duration: 12 weeks (13 weeks noted). 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts (8 am to 5 pm). Minimum guaranteed hours: 32 hrs/week.

The role involves day-to-day therapeutic intervention of appropriate individuals in the rehab environment under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist, in accordance with facility, Medicare, private insurance, and client policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists the registered Physical Therapist in carrying out procedures and programs.
• Performs routine treatment procedures in accordance with the planned program.
• Observes, records, and reports conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties to the supervising therapist.
• Helps maintain appropriate records.
• Participates in educational activities of the facility.
• Directs Physical Therapy Aides regarding treatments as necessary and appropriate under supervision.
• Maintains specific treatment areas where treatment is given.
• Communicates with patient's physician regarding progress and treatments, in consultation with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved and accredited therapist program.
• Current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed by the State in the designated geographic area.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks without posing a threat to health or safety, including lifting, turning, moving, and transporting patients (minimum ability to lift and control 50 pounds).

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
