About the Role
Lake Mariam Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work alongside an experienced rehabilitation team, helping adult and geriatric patients improve mobility, strength, and independence. As a PTA, you'll implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist while making a meaningful impact on each patient's recovery and quality of life.
- 13-week travel contract
- Full-time schedule (40 hours per week)
- 8-hour day shifts
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Collaborative rehab team environment
- Located in Winter Haven, Florida
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with gait training, therapeutic exercise, balance activities, transfers, and functional mobility
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
Requirements
- Florida PTA license required
- BLS certification required
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
