Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant position available in a healthcare organization. The role involves assisting licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient setting, supporting patient recovery and functional improvements.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans
- Provide patient education
- Ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist in therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, balance activities, gait training, and use of assistive devices
- Perform modalities including whirlpools, ultrasound, and therapeutic pools
- Monitor patient responses and maintain documentation
- Educate patients on body mechanics, equipment use, and safety standards
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care
- Participate in quality improvement projects
- Float rotation may be required
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited school
- CAPTE certification
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience
- CPR certification
