Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat outpatient orthopedic and neuro patients; establish and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercise, neuro re-education, gait training, balance and coordination activities, and manual therapy as appropriate
- Facilitate functional mobility, rehabilitation of daily activities, transfers, and gait retraining; provide patient and caregiver education; develop and monitor home exercise programs
- Document assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge plans in a timely and compliant manner; communicate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to licensure requirements and facility policies; adapt care plans to patient tolerance and changing conditions
- Collaborate with PT support staff and other disciplines to coordinate care and manage caseload effectively
Requirements
- Active physical therapy license in Arizona or a compact/mobile state license accepted by Arizona (AZ or Compact license)
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic and neuro settings; preference for about 3 years of relevant practice
- Ability to work in a predominantly outpatient ortho and neuro caseload within a rural, critical access hospital environment
