About the role

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans as per the patients' needs and goals. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate effective participation in community activities. The therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, and perform other professional duties related to patient care and therapy services development.

Responsibilities

  • Congduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals to progress patients towards discharge.
  • Document medical records in a clear, concise, and timely manner as per guidelines.
  • Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to students as part of the student program.
  • Actively pursue professional development opportunities and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
  • Understand and implement organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Active and applicable state licensure for the practice of physical therapy.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
