About the role
This travel position is for an outpatient Physical Therapist in Springfield, Vermont. The facility will not consider any traveler who resides within 50 miles of the facility. To avoid delays in processing, please provide your permanent address at profile upload.
Our approach to physical therapy includes direct involvement with each patient, combining advanced hands-on techniques with patient education and individualized rehabilitative programs. Each therapist has training in a wide variety of traditional techniques, and many also have training in non-traditional treatment methods.
Typical patient ratio: 8 patients per day Monday-Thursday, 6 on Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for patients with varying diagnoses such as:
- Post-operative care
- Joint replacement
- Back pain
- Tendonitis issues
- General deconditioning
- Balance and vertigo issues
- Orthopaedic and sports injuries
- Gait training
- Balance training, fractures, sprains, and dislocations
- Musculoskeletal dysfunctions
- Neck and back pain
- Neurological disorders (such as stroke and Parkinson's)
- Balance and fall prevention
- Bone and joint diseases
- Hand injuries
- Workplace injuries
- Pelvic floor dysfunction
- Incontinence
- Pulmonary rehabilitation
- Work Inpatient Physical Therapy as needed
- Treat all normal diagnoses seen in outpatient clinics
Requirements
- 2 years of current Physical Therapy experience (New graduates will not be considered)
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (Required)
- Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy (Required)
- Previous rehabilitation experience (Required)
- New Hampshire Physical Therapy license or compact (Must be uploaded with profile)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (Required)
- Updated CAQH (must be provided after start)
- NPI (must be provided after start)
- Must be flexible and able to work varying patient loads
- Previous travel experience (strongly preferred)
- CPSI EMR experience (highly preferred)
- Previous experience working with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) (preferred)
- Traveler's permanent address must be included in profile
- Must have own vehicle (no public transport available in this small community)
- Any/all requested time off (RTO) must be included in profile (no more than 5 days accepted; less is better)
- All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission (facility will not approve requests after offer)

Pay
Rate: $93/hour. Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule

- Outpatient clinics are closed for major holidays
- No overtime multiplier; OT paid at flat hourly rate
- Holiday and call-back multipliers: 1.25%
- Non-billable orientation: 0 hours
- No on-call or weekend requirements
